Enabling a last wish holiday

“I would like to send my sincere thanks to Vicky and her managers for the amazing service they gave me. This allowed for a very special individual to travel for perhaps the final time in their life, for a week’s holiday in the sun. They had a fantastic time!”
We are extremely proud to have been able to help an individual diagnosed with an inoperable tumour to enjoy a bucket list holiday in the sun.
We were contacted by Tess Watson, a case worker with the charity CLIC Sargent, who was looking for travel insurance to enable her patient to go on a last wish holiday abroad with a good friend.
All the flights and accommodation were covered by generous donations, but the oncology team would not give the go ahead for the trip unless travel insurance, including emergency medical repatriation, was in place.
Even though the patient was well, and no decline was expected within 6 months, Tess was having difficulty finding travel insurance at an affordable price due to the terminal prognosis.
“All the previous brokers I had spoken to either could not confirm cover at all due to the diagnosis or were only able to offer full emergency repatriation at a cost which was unaffordable”.
It was when Tess called Total Travel Protection that the holiday began to look possible. Tess spoke to Vicky, one of our experienced call agents, who was pleased to help, and we are proud to say that we were able to provide cover for Tess’s patient at a fraction of the price quoted by other insurers.

We are here to help
At Total Travel Protection our aim is to enable people to have the holiday they deserve by providing fair priced travel insurance, especially when cover may be declined by other insurers.
We can cover all types of cancer, up to a very high level of severity. This includes patients with a terminal condition, so long as the prognosis is longer than 6 months from the return date of the trip.
Cover is available to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man.
